Travertine is a sedimentary stone and is formed by the precipitation of calcium carbonate from mineral springs which is what gives the stone its porous nature. Travertine can be used for both residental and commercial purposes, and is a favorite when it comes to wall cladding or pool surrounds or typical flooring as its nature makes it cool beneath the feet and like satin to touch.
